Valor Montessori is located inside The Hub at the historic Dayton Arcade, in the heart of downtown Dayton. This beautiful and iconic building is home to University of Dayton and is a small business incubator. It is within easy walking distance of the Dayton Metro Library, several museums, galleries, and theaters, Riverscape Metro Park, and Sinclair Community College.

Valor Montessori will operate on a sliding scale tuition model, and accept the EdChoice Scholarship after we receive our charter in the coming months.
The range of out-of-pocket tuition costs, including optional EdChoice Scholarship participation, is from $0 to $14,500, and is based on family income and size.
We would be happy to discuss tuition amounts based on your family’s situation.

We are excited to work with our students to develop after school clubs based around hobbies, academics, and sports and fitness, driven by their interests. Students will participate in their planning and implementation, so these offerings will expand and change organically from year to year as our student body grows.

Preparing our students for all aspects of adult life is the ultimate goal of Valor Montessori. In addition to meeting all standards for graduation set by the state of Ohio, students will participate in job shadowing and internship opportunities, receive personalized college and career counseling, have the opportunity to take College Credit Plus classes through either Sinclair Community College or University of Dayton, learn entrepreneurship skills through the running of a school micro-business while networking with local small business owners, develop electives related to life skills that they wish to learn, and more.

Valor Montessori recognizes that setting high standards and continuous self-improvement are necessary for achieving excellence. We intend to work towards receiving American Montessori Society (AMS) accreditation within six years of opening. AMS accreditation is a multi-year process that schools can begin after operating for three years.

Our curriculum meets or exceed all state requirements for a diploma and is aligned with Montessori best practices. You can see our four year course of study here.

All staff and volunteers working with students or in the office during the school day in either paid or volunteer capacity must have current (updated every five years after initial employment) FBI and BCI background checks completed and kept on file in the Valor Montessori office. This includes teacher leaders, administrative staff, and substitute teachers.
Teaching staff must also have the appropriate credentials, or meet the requirements to obtain the appropriate credentials with assistance from Valor Montessori.
As part of the hiring process for all teaching staff, a licensure check through the Educator Profile on the Ohio State Board of Education’s website will be completed.
